PROTECT DIRECT DEMOCRACY: NO TO HJR 1

The Ohio legislature has introduced HJR 1, a revised version of HJR 6 from 2022. This amendment would shred our Constitution, end majority rule in Ohio, and take away your right to decide what happens here by undermining the sacred principle of ‘one person, one vote.’ We must protect our freedom to determine our future in Ohio, not permanently change our constitution to give up our rights.

We all want the freedom to make decisions that affect our lives. But corrupt politicians and special interests don't like the decisions we've made, so they want to rewrite the rules and give themselves even more power.

We should be focused on making it easier for citizens to have their voices heard and make real change in their communities that improve our lives, not putting up roadblocks that silence them. Higher thresholds for Ohio ballot measures are unfair, unpopular, and undemocratic.

We must do everything we can to stop HJR 1.
